For the second consecutive year, NovaVision Inc., headquartered in Bowling Green, was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the USA. The annual listing published by Inc. Magazine includes 5000 high-growth businesses.
Mike Messmer, general manager at NovaVision, acknowledged the recent distinction. "We achieved over 50 percent sales growth over the prior three-year period. We attribute our success to offering quality products at affordable prices. We also have a focus on customer service and strong teamwork."
The Inc 5000 listing for 2009 is based on total sales growth for the three-year period from 2005 to 2008.  NovaVision's 52 percent sales growth ranked at position 3,431 of the 5,000 companies listed.
In last year's INC 5,000 listing, NovaVision had a 77 percent sales growth which ranked at 3,308 in the listing.
Messmer added, "We have a great team of employees who are focused on providing excellent products, service and value. Our sales growth rate confirms our focus on customer satisfaction. We are proud to be in such a prestigious listing as the Inc 5000."
With 2009 sales of $4.4 million, NovaVision currently has 35 employees - 24 full-time and 11 part-time.
NovaVision specializes in hologram stickers, tamper evident labels, security tape and mechanical security seals, which are commonly used to combat counterfeiting and tampering. The company also distributes thermal transfer ribbons and labels through Thermal Images, which is a wholly-owned division of the company.
NovaVision conducts business globally and has over 3,500 active customers each year. Major customer groups include governments (federal, state, county, municipal and international), large international companies, retailers, and collectible companies. In addition, NovaVision provides products to brand owners, ski resorts, pharmaceutical/drug companies, hospitals, banks, trucking/logistic companies, and over 1,000 other small businesses.
Looking to the future, Messmer added, "The markets we serve are growing again. We will have healthy sales growth in 2010 compared to last year. Expanding and diversifying our product line has helped our company weather the recent economic storm."
