NovaVision Inc., headquartered in Bowling Green, was recently recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. The annual listing published by Inc. Magazine includes 5,000 high-growth businesses.

Mike Messmer, general manager at NovaVision, acknowledged the recent distinction.

"We achieved 77 percent sales growth over a three-year period. We attribute our success to offering quality products at affordable prices and rapidly expanding our product line. We also have a focus on customer service, strong teamwork and a good presence on the Internet for our niche products."

The Inc. 5,000 listing for 2009 is based on total sales growth for the three-year period from 2005 to 2008. NovaVision's sales growth ranked at position 3,308 of the 5,000 companies listed.

Messmer added, "Our sales growth rate confirms our focus on customer satisfaction. It's great for our team of employees to get the recognition they deserve - they made it happen. We are proud to be in such a prestigious listing as the Inc. 5,000."

With annual revenues of over $4 million, NovaVision currently has 26 employees - 20 full-time and six part-time.

NovaVision, located at 524 Woodland Circle, in the WoodBridge Busines Park off Dunbridge Road, specializes in hologram stickers, tamper evident labels, security tape and mechanical security seals, which are commonly used to combat counterfeiting and tampering. The company also distributes thermal transfer ribbons and labels through Thermal Images, which is a wholly-owned division of the company.

NovaVision conducts business globally and has over 3,000 active customers each year. Major customer groups include governments, large international companies, retailers and collectible companies. In addition, NovaVision provides products to brand owners, ski resorts, pharmaceutical/drug companies, hospitals, banks, trucking/logistic companies, and over 1,000 other small businesses.

Looking to the future, Messmer added, "Our growth in 2009 will be more modest. Expanding and diversifying our product line has helped our company weather the recent economic storm. Although we think the worst is probably over, the national recovery will be slow and that will moderate our future growth."
