Holographic effects can be presented in 3D, 2-channel flip or animation. These distinctive holographic products are popular for promotional programs when used as magnetic cards, buttons, peel and stick labels and post card mailers.
The special optical effects are created by printing graphics in register on the backside of a special lens material (typically .015 to .030 inches thick). The two effects are created as follows:
- 3D holograms are created by interlacing the layered graphics of one complete master image.
- The two-channel 2D holograms are created by interlacing the graphics from two separate images - both images are one layer. In its final form, image "A" is visible, but with a slight change in the viewing angle, image "A" disappears and image "B" appears instead.
- An animated image is created by interlacing the graphics from more than two separate images similar to the two-channel process. Changing the viewing angle causes the images to appear in a sequence which simulates the animation.
The front artwork is printed in full color using a 4-color process; the back side is available in any of the following formats depending on what is most appropriate for your promotion
- Magnetic Cards
- Peel and stick labels
- Buttons (with pinback)
- Printing in spot or full color
For a typical order of 10,000 units or less, product can be completed within 3 to 4 weeks from receipt of purchase order and approved artwork.
