Overview

Shrink sleeves provide a tamper evident seal for bottles, jugs or other container spouts.

The sleeve is a hollow tube of clear PVC film which will shrink when heated.

The tube is cut to length and placed over the neck of the bottle.

 

 

When heat is applied, the sleeve will shrink and conform to the contours of the bottle neck and cap, thereby making it impossible to open the bottle without destroying the sleeve.

To aid in removing, the shrink sleeve has perforatons.

A holographic stripe provides added security to authenticate the tamper evident seal.

Shrink sleeves are available in pre-cut lengths or in continuous rolls.

INSTALLATION TIPS

Low volume applications:

Sleeves may be applied manually to the bottle neck. Then shrink to fit using a heat gun or steam tool.

 

1. Hold the sleeve in place while applying heat. Without holding the sleeve, the sleeve will 'ride up' the bottle neck as it begins to shrink.

2. If using a heat gun, apply heat on the side away from the hologram. Applying heat directly to the location of the hologram will cause the PVC to shink more in this area, which will distort the hologram image to a dull silver.

For higher volume applications, automated equipment is used to cut and apply the sleeve to the bottle, which then passes through a heat tunnel to shrink the sleeve.
