Water detection labels change color when exposed to moisture. Typically, these labels are used as warranty labels for electronic equipment where water exposure can damage electronic components and void the equipment warranty.

Before
With Water Contact, white changes to red
For brief exposure (less than 1 second) to water, the color change will be visible at the perimeter of the label.

Warranty Labels Exposed Briefly
For longer exposure (1 minute or more) to water, the color change will be prominent in the entire label.

Warranty Labels Exposed 1 Min
Humidity does not trigger the color change; only direct contact with moisture.
Water detection labels are available in two formats:
Label Configuration -- The top of the label will change color; the adhesive is on the bottom.
Inside Window Sticker Configuration -- In this configuration, the adhesive is on the side that changes color. When the label is applied to a clear surface (usually a container or window made of glass, plexiglas, etc), the color change can be observed through the clear surface and through the clear adhesive.
Our FREE samples include 5 water detection labels which are .25 inch square, which is our most popular product. If you need samples of another size, please request the specific size needed.
