When tampered, these security labels transfer adhesive to the surface. The primary difference of the 3 stock versions is the amount of adhesive residue left on the surface.

High residue stickers (S28) offer the best security. The tamper evident feature is more sensitive. Also, they are more versatile because they are effective on a wide range of surfaces and materials.

For disposable packaging or containers, the amount of adhesive is not an issue.

However, if the container or surface will be re-used, cleaning up the adhesive residue will be more difficult and time consuming for "high residue" labels. See the "Ease of Clean Up" recommendations if the surface is to be re-used.

Using the "Table of Recommended Surfaces" (on the right), select the security label version based on the intended surface.

For plastic surfaces, reference the recycle code stamped on your container (usually on the bottom). The recycle code is also referenced in the table of recommended surfaces.

However, we recommend testing samples in actual conditions before product is ordered. We offer free samples so you can test and verify the selected label will meet your specific needs.

Adding a custom logo or custom text improves security.

Custom imprints are offered in black, blue, green, red, or white ink. We also offer a hidden fluorescing ink.

For added security, include a serial number. Record the serial number for future reference.

An optional lamination protects imprinted text from chemical exposure. Laminated labels are recommended for outdoor applications beyond 1 year.

The silver metallic stickers (S05 and STV19) may not be suitable for use on printed circuit boards (or other electical applications). The silver metallic layer is conductive.

We offer pricing discounts for higher quantity orders. For the best value, we recommend purchasing at least 1 year's supply. When stored properly, our labels have a MINIMUM 2 year shelf life.

Security labels are designed and intended for anti-tampering applications.

After application, when the label is later removed, most (or all) of the ink and adhesive transfers to the applied surface. The hidden pattern ("OPENED", "VOID", dots, etc) will appear on the surface and also in the label.

This is a single use item. Once removed, the label cannot be resealed. If the voided label is reapplied, the hidden pattern (OPENED, VOID, dots) is still visible in the label.

Labels are die cut and supplied in rolls.

The labels are designed for many surfaces. Use the "Table of Recommended Surfaces" on this page to determine which product version will best meet your needs.

After application, the label is suitable for use indoors or outdoors where temperature may range from -40F to over +200F.

Our security labels are not recommended for any application where the adhesive is applied directly to skin or the adhesive residue and inks are ingested by humans or animals.

Recommended Storage Temperature is 40 to 80F. Maximum temperature prior to application is 100F. The MINIMUM shelf life is 2 years under these conditions.

The surface must be clean & dry. If needed, clean the surface with 100% iso-propyl alcohol prior to affixing the label.

When applying, confirm the surface temperature is at or above the stated minimum application temperature*.

On the recommended surfaces at 70F, the tamper evident feature should be functional within 1 minute of application. Other surfaces or lower temperaatures may require more curing time. If the tamper evident feature does not perform immediately, more curing time usually improves the performance of the tamper evident feature.

To clean up the adhesive residue use 100% iso-propyl alcohol or a household adhesive remover (Goo-Gone, Orange-Sol, etc).

Custom printed labels cannot be returned for credit.

Claims for questionable or defective product must be made within 1 week of delivery.

The graphics for the hidden tamper evident feature (OPENED, VOID, etc) shown is a fair representation. However, the actual hidden graphic may vary by size, orientation, alternating forward and backwards reading, backwards reading, include upper and lower case, font, etc. Also, the graphic may change on future orders. If the graphic layout for the hidden pattern is critical, please inquire for more details prior to placing your order.
