Acetate tape and seals are often used to detect tampering with objects containing valuables, confidential information, or calibration/equipment settings. Typical applications include file cabinets, aircraft hatches, entry doors, envelopes, cartons, electronic components, etc.
Acetate tape and seals are frangible, which means they tear easily when removed.
The “broken seal” feature of acetate signals tampering. After application, acetate material can be removed, but it is designed to tear into multiple pieces. The serrated edges (a sawtooth pattern) enhance the frangibility and security.
Tamper Evident feature
The self-destruction feature is designed to show signs of tampering, even if removed immediately after application. Unlike competitive products, there is no waiting period for the tamper evidence to be become active. Chemical tampering causes the solvent-sensitive inks to dissolve and smear.
The permanent adhesive and instantaneous cure time make our acetate products excellent for sealing all types of containers. When removed, acetate tape and seals do not leave any messy adhesive residue.
The acetate surface is receptive to marking by using ink pen or permanent marker. This allows additional customization of security features such as a hand-written serial number, file number, contents label or personal signature.

Stock Acetate Security Tape
For maximum contrast of the hand-written information, our acetate tape has a white write-on strip. The tape can be used as a continuous tape or cut (or torn) into custom lengths. The printed pattern "security seal" repeats every 4.75 inches. Each roll is supplied in a cardboard dispenser box.

We offer two stock sizes which can be imprinted with your custom text, logo and serial number. The stock background colors are red (translucent) or clear. The stock imprint color is black. Seals are provided on rolls in a dispenser box.

Clear & Holographic Acetate Seals
These seals are constructed of 2 mil thick acetate, which will tear if the security label is removed. To facilitate the self destruction when removed, the security seal has a total of four tamper evident security slits on two sides. These security seals are only sold with a custom imprint of your company name or logo. Recommended for indoor use and short term use outdoors.
