After application, when removed the security tape will self destruct, leaving words or symbols on the package and in the security tape itself.

We have the largest selection of stock security tapes in the world. Choose from over 25 stock security tapes. Custom security tape is also available.

Our premium tapes feature superior tamper evident performance, which is designed to function within one (1) minute of application on the recommended surfaces.

Our premium tapes also feature a serial number. Record the number as needed for additional security.

Some tapes feature printed instructions, which can serve as a deterrent to tampering.

Some customers prefer plain tape to minimize attention to the package during shipping.

Some tapes include a perforation and can be used as continuous tape or as individual seals.

Most shipping cartons use 2 inch wide tape -- we have the largest selection of stock 2 inch tape in the world.

We also offer 1 inch and 3 inch wide tapes. These different widths can add security because it is easier to detect tampering. For example, if someone slit the security tape to gain access to the container and then resealed the carton with conventional 2 inch wide clear sealing tape, the resealing tape is a different width than the security tape.

The "Recommended Surfaces" list for each tape is a guideline based on our lab tests and customer feedback.

However, we recommend testing tape samples in actual conditions before product is ordered. We offer free samples so you can test and verify the selected tape will meet your specific needs.

When tampered, these security tapes transfer adhesive to the surface. For disposable packaging or containers this is not an issue. However, if the container will be re-used, cleaning up the adhesive residue will be more difficult and time consuming for some tapes. See the "Ease of Clean Up" recommendations if the container is to be re-used.

We offer pricing discounts for higher quantity orders. For the best value, we recommend purchasing at least 1 year's supply. When stored properly, our tapes have a MINIMUM 2 year shelf life.

Tape is applied to a clean, dry surface.

When the tape is removed, most (or all) of the ink and adhesive transfers to the applied surface. The hidden pattern ("OPENED", "VOID", etc) will appear on the surface and also in the tape.

Once removed, the tape cannot be resealed. If the voided tape is reapplied, the hidden pattern ("OPENED VOID") is still visible in the tape.

Tape is self-wound (no paper backing) on 3 inch ID cores.

The tapes designed for cardboard with recycled content (and HIGH RESIDUE formula) will transfer most or all of the adhesive to the surface and are more difficult to clean up; these tapes are primarily recommended for disposable packaging.

This is a single use item. It is not recommended for any application where the adhesive may be ingested by humans or animals.

Recommended Storage Temperature is 40 to 80F. Maximum temperature prior to application is 100F.

When stored under these conditions, we warrant the tape will have a MINIMUM shelf life of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The surface must be clean & dry. If needed, clean the surface with 100% iso-propyl alcohol.

When applying tape, the minimum surface temperature is +40F.

Apply the security tape directly to the intended surface. Do not apply on top of other packing tape.

When sealing cartons, seal the opposing flaps on the top and extend the tape a minimum of 4 inches down each side of the box. Repeat this process for the bottom seam of the carton.

If the cartons have excess 'spring' in the flaps, after applying the security tape on the flaps, use standard carton sealing tape to seal the edges of the flaps to the side of the box. Other options are to glue or staple the flaps closed before applying the security tape. Repeat this process for the top and bottom of the carton.

Only apply security tape in a single layer. Do not apply security tape on top of other security tape.

On the recommended surfaces at 70F, the tamper evident feature should be functional within 1 minute of application. Other surfaces may require more curing time. If the tamper evident feature does not perform immediately, more curing time usually improves the performance of the tamper evident feature.

The various tape formulations we offer perform differently depending on the material surface and application conditions. We recommend testing tape samples under actual end-use conditions to confirm compatitibity with your specific application. We offer free samples for testing.

For security tape shipped to desert or tropical climates, we include temperature sensors to confirm the maximum temperature during shipping and storage. Returned tape with temperature sensors must not have any reading of 100F or higher.

Claims for questionable or defective product must be made within 1 week of delivery.

The graphics for the hidden tamper evident feature (OPENED, VOID, etc) shown is a fair representation. However, the actual hidden graphic may vary by size, orientation, alternating forward and backwards reading, backwards reading, include upper and lower case, font, etc. Also, the graphic may change on future orders.
