Printed Instructions on tape reminds receiver of security features:
- Top Line: "TAMPER EVIDENT --IF WORD 'OPENED' APPEARS, CHECK CONTENTS"
- Middle Line: Serial Number and "SECURITY TAPE"
- Bottom line: "Clear tape applied over security tape may indicate carton has been slit open and then resealed. If resealed, printed text and/or lines may be misaligned"
Pre-assigned Serial Number -- improves security; for added security record the serial number on the bill of lading.
Diagonal Alignment Lines (in the word SECURITY) designed to show mis-alignment if the carton seal is slit and resealed.
Adhesive residue: Partial transfer, about 50% transfer to the surface; 50% remains on the film.
