These printers are recommended for medium and
high security applications such as
universities, government facilities, ski resorts, corporate
ID, airports, etc.
The Professional Series Printers are designed to print longer
without refilling cards and
ribbons - up to 3 times more compared to competitive printers.
The HDP printers feature High Definition Printing for added
clarity and resolution.
The printers are capable of printing Prox Cards with less than
perfect surfaces.

Card Type: 100% PVC, 60/40 composite with PVC finish, ABS, or
PETG
Encoding options: Mag Stripe, Contactless Smart Cards, Contact
Smart Cards, Prox Carder (reader only)
These printers have the SmartGuard and lamination capability.
Having additional
security features allows you to use multiple security features
or vary the security
features for different card groups or different years.
Key security features:
1. Laminations - the laminator
allows the use of holographic overlays, which are available
as a standard product (FARGO part #xxxxx) or you can order a
custom holographic overlay for added security. The laminator
also allows the use of clear overlays. Both the clear overlay
and holographic overlay improve the durability and life of the
ID card.
2. SMARTGUARD - restricts access to a printer/encoder
by requiring a custom access card. The SmartGuard feature prevents
unauthorized printing, ensures accountability for every card
produced, and guards against unauthorized use of overlaminates.
