Adding a custom holographic logo or text to your identification card combats counterfeiting.

Your custom text or logo is imprinted with stock transparent or silver metallic foil. All custom imprints must be unique. For added security, NovaVision maintains an imprint registry to assure you unique image is only available to your organization.

Hologram ID cards with custom designs are available with surface foil imprints or embedded foil imprints. Here is a comparison of the features:

* Note: For cards with surface foil imprints, to assure consistent printing the printed information must be a minimum of 1/8 inch away from the foil area. To maximize the print head life, locate the foil area at either end of the card and shorten the print length so the print head does not come in contact with the foil.

Counterfeiting is illegal and is defined as any attempt to copy an original with the intent to defraud. It is illegal to purchase a fake identification product, an unauthorized custom hologram, or any counterfeit item which uses a copyrighted brand name or logo.

Design Layout Considerations

For maximum print head life, orient the surface foil logo/text on the leading or trailing edge of the card and do not print on the foil area. On most printers, this layout will prevent the print head from coming in contact with the surface foil, thus preventing any print head damage. If the print head comes in contact with the foil, our experience suggests the print head life can be shortened by 10% to 25%.

Design Layout Considerations

Foil can be placed anywhere on the card; since the foil is embedded it will not affect the print quality nor will there be any print head damage.
Printing colors over a metallic foil creates an interesting visual effect which enhance logos or prominent graphics
