Red SecureGuard™ Labels
Specifications & Intended Use
- Labels are constructed of durable polyester film (.002 inches thick).
- Labels are die cut to size for easy removal, and provided on rolls with "peel and stick" adhesive backing.
- The adhesive is a modified acrylic, which is compatible with bare metals, painted metal, and other non-porous surfaces. Test plastic surfaces and surfaces with powder coated paints to assure compatibility.
- The adhesive is sunfast for at least one year and will not yellow if used in an exterior application.
- Red SecureGuard™ labels have a printed silicon release, which typically is a repeating pattern of the words VOID and OPENED. When removed, the release will self destruct the label, leaving VOID and OPENED in the label, but leaving no residue on the original surface to which it was applied.
- Background colors are sunfast for 90 days and imprint inks are colorfast for exposure to sunlight for at least one year.
- Resolution of custom imprint is 200 to 300 dpi.
- Imprint Color Specifications: Green = PMS Green C; Dark blue = PMS 286 C; Red = PMS 192 C
- If the label will be exposed to harsh chemicals or excessive abrasion, an optional clear lamination over the custom imprint may be required for maximum durability of the imprint.
- Stock labels are designed for manual application.
- Each roll of labels is on a 3 inch ID core.
- To apply labels the minimum application temperature is +20F and application surface must be clean and dry.
- After application, the label will remain affixed for service temperatures ranging from -40F to +250F.
- The non-residue feature is intended to function at service temperatures between 0F and 120F; exposure to temperatures outside of this range may eliminate the non-residue feature, causing the adhesive to leave a residue when removed.
- In the unlikely event an adhesive residue remains when the label is removed, the residue can be cleaned up with isopropyl alcohol or household adhesive cleaners (Goo-Gone, Orange Sol, etc)
- Polyester hologram labels are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications; the expected life for outdoor applications is 1 year minimum.
- SecureGuard™ labels are NOT FDA-rated for DIRECT or INDIRECT contact with food.
